"If you don't mind me asking, how did you two meet?" Hecate asked Shelly, twisting the cap around on her bottle of water. Shelly watched her for a moment, curious as to why she seemed nervous. She looked at Hecate, then replied, "It is interesting to me that you have this sudden interest in Conor and I. Can you tell me why? Is it merely curiosity, or something more?" She sat back in her chair, waiting for Hecate's response...

"It is interesting to me that you have this sudden interest in Conor and I. Can you tell me why? Is it merely curiosity, or something more?"
Hecate blinked slowly at Shelly, processing the other woman's words. Her knuckles had turned bone white, her death grip on her water bottle almost puncturing it.
"Curiosity, nothing more." she said, her thin lips twitching into a smile.

"Curiosity, nothing more." Hecate responded to Shelly's question. Shelly narrowed her eyes as she watched Hecate's obvious discomfort. She continued to twist at the bottle top until her knuckles were white from the pressure. Her thin lips became even thinner...
"You say curiosity, but your actions speak louder than your words" Shelly said softly, leaning forward. "Now do you want to tell me what is really going on?"

Daiyu entered the Club and took a small breath looking around. Things had changed perhaps just a little. Same Crowd..same animosities she thought to herself eyeing Hecate and Shelly with a small laugh.
Approaching the bar she leaned over with a partial smile, causing the new scar on the side of her face to move slightly ordering a bloody mary, spicy.

While Shelly waited for Hecate to respond to her question, she sighed, sitting back up. She looked over to Conor, who sat next to her quietly sipping his drink. "You are quiet" She whispered, smiling, and rubbing his leg.
She glanced around, and noticed a new face appear at the bar, ordering herself a bloody mary, spicy. 'Interesting' Shelly thought, eyeing the scar that appeared to be a new one, on her face. 'I wonder how she obtained that?'

“Here you go, keep the change.” the dark voice said and slid the cab driver a 100 dollar bill. The cabbie nodded to to the man before he got out of the cab and closed the door. The dark eyed man looked down the alleyway to the entryway of the club. It was packed as usual. That was good anyway. He breathed in deep, the edge of his cigarette glowing bright red despite the cold wind which blew across his face. He flicked it to the gutter with the other trash and walked past the line. As he did he could feel the eyes all over him, muttering, wondering just who was he, and why was he cutting line. He certainly wasn't dressed any better. The black Matrix style trench coat moved with the wind, revealing the casual black pants and black shirt he wore, but not the two desert eagles he carried at all times. It wasn't the perfectly trimmed faded on his hair with a very thin bit of gray in it or the perfectly trimmed beard on his face. As he approached the door again, he simply walked right into the club.
Immediately he was hit with the loud, forceful thump of the bass rattling his chest, the laser lights flashing all around, the dancers all gyrating and shaking to the music as it flowed through the club. “Good to see some things never change.”
Was all he said. He knew it'd been quite a few months since he had been here, and as such there would be plenty of new faces, but for now, all that would wait. For now he would just relax. He walked to the bar and sat at the end of it. He was sure his presence was known in the club now.
“The usual.” he said in his deep, monotone voice to the bartender.

Another night, another night to just hang around. Rick found his way back to the club. It had been a while since he'd seen anyone since Hang's party. His massive frame, his flowing black trenchcoat, his fedora and shades always stood out as he entered again to the place it all started..

Shelly continued looking around the dimly lit, loud, smoky club. She saw the big man, Rick enter, and smiled over to him. She had not seen him since Hang's party, and it was nice seeing a familiar face.
As she took a sip of her drink, she noticed another man, one she had not seen before, enter. He was commanding in presence, dressed in black, and non-smiling. 'Interesting character' she thought, watching as he moved to the bar and ordered a drink...

Rcik saw Shelly and walked over, "Hey there Shelly, good to see you, looks like we can't get away from this place..." he laughed a bit, "Can I get you a drink?"

Shelly was just finishing her drink when Rick walked over. "Hey there Shelly, good to see you, looks like we can't get away from this place..." he laughed a bit, "Can I get you a drink?" He said standing next to her.
"You are right Rick, we do not seem to be able to get away from here, but the ambiance is so good..." She smiled up at him, and continued. "Sure, I would love another drink. Good timing, as I just finished the one I had. Will you join us?" She pointed to the empty bar stool next to her...

Daiyu straightened up, and smoothed down the black leather shirt looking around. She noticed Shelly looking at her and just merely nodded.
"oi nice face decoration" came the voice of an obnoxious drunk passing by. She just merely looked at the man 'yea it's a badge of honor' is all she said leaving him with his mouth open as she moved away.
As she glanced around the club, old habit hard to break her eyes stopped on a familiar figure and she quirked a brow slightly "can't be...." she thought before noticing Rick enter and watched him for a few moments.

"Now do you want to tell me what is really going on?"
Looking up from her abused water bottle cap, Hecate blinked at Shelly, as if just remembering that someone had been talking to her.Heh, how to explain away my strange behavior? Her mind blanked...the truth?
'The Truth'. A shudder slowly rolled through her thin body. How long has it been since she thought those two simple words? The truth...
"If you must know I'm suffering from a bit of OCD.Not just that, but my PTSD and my paranoia...and my insomnia." she said a little too fast for anyone listening to keep up."I'm a mental wreck..so yeah, that's the Truth."
For a moment she merely stared into space, her dull brown eyes reflecting nothing. The feeling of being watched tugged her from her revelry and she gave a somewhat half-hearted wave to Kima and Daiyu-she raised her eyebrows when she noticed the new scar Daiyu was sporting.Seeing the new comer 'Rick' she gave them a quick smile.

Shelly turned back to Hecate as she began to speak.."If you must know I'm suffering from a bit of OCD.Not just that, but my PTSD and my paranoia...and my insomnia." she said a little too fast for anyone listening to keep up."I'm a mental wreck..so yeah, that's the Truth."
Shelly knew it took alot for her to divulge that information, for those stricken with OCD and PTSD were extremely nervous, and could be paranoid. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder could be crippling, depending upon the ritualistic behavior displayed by the person. Combined with Post traumatic Stress Disorder, doubly crippling. Shelly was surprised the woman was even out and about. Her heart went out to her, and she laid a comforting hand upon her shoulder.
"Thanks for telling me" Shelly leaned forward to whisper softly. "If you ever need to talk, I am here" She smiled at Hecate, and offered to buy her another water. Shelly wondered what traumatic event had triggered the OCD and PTSD, her curiosity ever foremost in her mind...

“Kima, it's been awhile,” the bartender said, sliding him his usual drink, Sake. He gave the woman a nod as he caught the drink. “It's been almost four months, yes. I suppose that's long in some circles, a blink of an eye in others.” he said in reply. She gave a nod to him and leaned on the bar, watching as he finished off the sake.
“So, I see Precious is nowhere to be seen.” He said calmly. She ave a shrug to him as he motioned for a refill of his glass.
“I wouldn't know man, I try to stay out the stuff that goes on.” She said. He nodded in response, he understood what she meant, why she'd say that after all. He had spotted some familiar faces in the crowd, it seemed like things didn't change much since he was gone. That gave him a very slight smile, unchanging paintings...
“Well if you see her, tell her i'm back.” he said.
“What about Laylei?”
He bristled at that name. “She knows I'm here i'm sure. This is her club now after all. I doubt anyone comes and goes without her knowledge. Anyway don't concern yourself with that, just keep the drinks coming...” He said and glanced over to Shelly and the man who was buying her a drink, new faces he hadn't seen before.
"of course, new faces will pop up too. Should be expected." He said quietly as the bartender nodded.
"Yeah they've been coming here for awhile, well the few months you were gone, where were you anyway?" she said.
He looked up at her slowly, those intense eyes of his sending shivers down her spine as he spoke. "It doesn't matter."

Daiyu sighed as she tilted her head down slightly, long dark hair covering the left side of her face. This way no one would ask about the scar and she wouldn't have to push anyone away in that regard
Then she heard it and slowly turned her head in Kima's direction So it is him She thought taking a small drink as she slid into a now empty barstool near Shelly, Rick, Connor and Hecate. She slid the empty glass across..
Hey..refill? she asked quietly trying to keep her head down and looking over to the new faces mingling with a couple she did recognise. She smiled slightly at the curious look and nodded before turning back catching the drink slid to her with a sigh
Thanks she said in a quiet sincere voice.
A lot had changed, more with her than anything. Bad places tend to do that to someone.
