Saint Claude's complex was buzzing with life.
The complex looked like a walled off city as it sat peacefully in the dead of the night. The complex consisted off various buildings ranging from one to ten stories, and they all hummed in unison and various men and woman scuttled along the complex quickly. The paved walk-ways of the complex zig-zagged and crossed each other dizzily.
The setting had a grungy feeling to it, but it was still more or less obviously technologically advanced.
As the combatants arrived the only entrance to the city would be left ajar, in which they'd be free to walk in. Once both participants were in, the doors would shut and look, impossible to re-open.
And then the game would begin, but not without a few words from our sponsor.
But for now, Go.

Toran pushed through the mass of people and into the place where the fighters would be and sat down on a bench and took a deep breath.
Well I better prepare... He said to himself with a small smile.
He took his GV M/10 rifle calmly and slowly loaded it. He only had a couple of mags with him to that one as they took up more space than a lot of other stuff. He checked his switchblade to see if it was sharp enough and as always it was. Lastly he checked his Berreta for any problems, he loaded it before he holstered it so he was ready to fire it as soon as he pulled it out. He got several mags for this one as chances was he might had to use it more than his GV M and also they were smaller.
Lastly he created a small ball of fire in his hand and then slowly absorbed it again. To use magic would be his last resort, well perhaps from the switchblade.
Alright, I'm ready... He said and walked in through the doors, hearing it seal shut behind him. He could not afford to lose. He took another deep breath and raised his rifle, keeping the other weapons under his coat.

Laylei casually walked around the complex aimlessly. She had arrived a tad early and certainly wasn't just going to sit there and look dumb. So the woman took her time and just casually explore the complex, nothing advantage giving, but hey, it wasted time.
The woman pursed her lips though, as the sound of the complex gate sealing shut. The various men and women around her seemed to tense up at the sound, but kept on going with their daily activities.
Lay sighed as she just walked casually towards the entrance, as she came near she saw a man with a rifle standing there.
She scoffed and titled her head as she pointed a finger at the man, addressing him. "You ? They pair me up with some gun-wielding lunatic ? This isn't very fair now is it...Guns, puh-shaw, way to rely on technology, Darling. Honest, you're just so tough."
The woman shook her head as she placed her hands on her hips, as she raised an eyebrow at the man. "Are you really going to try and shoot me ? That's not very polite, now is it ?"

Toran heard her and made a small smile.
Sugar, as long as it gets the job done, I don't give damn if you think its fair or not. His voice actually didn't sound too threatening, it was only slightly in the undertone and a thing in his eyes, showing that his intent was clearly to kill.
He lifted his rifle and got her in his scope. Carefully placing the small dot right in the middle of her face. He knew she had some tricks up her sleeve though. Could it really be that surprising that he would come so prepared. Perhaps she relied on using magic? She didn't have a death wish did she? In any case he would soon find out.
Toran slowly placed the rifle on "burst", not sacrificing too much speed and gaining slightly more accuracy. He waited a bit as he was not sure if there would be some bell to start it off or what? He placed both his feet firmly on the ground and waited.
It'll be a shame to ruin such a pretty face though. Toran grinned a bit. It was not clear if he meant what he said or was just taunting.
Well now he only had to wait for the "bell"...

Laylei sighed as the man put off the tough guy act. She quirked her mouth into a wryly grin as she let her head tilt to the side casually, her hair falling off her shoulders. "Oh, Darling, how original. A guy with a gun makes a comment about how hurting me is going to be a shame. You're only like number two hundred and thirty nine. Good on you, dear, really." The woman said sarcastically, as she rolled her eyes to make her emphasis.
She just casually stood her place as she waited for something to happen, something interesting preferably because staring down a gun wasn't exactly news-worthy. So instead, Lay just stood there as she chuckled to herself, she looked down to her feet to see them become transparent slightly. The woman grinned like the Cheshire Cat as the rest of her body followed suit, she simply blew her opponent a kiss as she let herself disappear.
---- As Laylei vanished the crowds of men and woman seemed to all cower slightly as the speakers buzzed to life. A rather high pitched voice came through the speakers as a larger than life man somehow sent his personality through the audio.
"Welcome Tor...Torun Ravenberg! And...La-La Limera! Welcome to the games! I am Saint Claude, your host with the most and I'd like to personally welcome you, or well, somewhat personally welcome you to the games! Now that pleasantries are out of the way and we're acquainted, you may now kill each other. Glad we had this moment to bond. Ta-Ta for now!"
With that the speakers cut off and the flow of men and woman more or less resumed normally.

Tough guy act hmm... Perhaps. Well in any case, this would not be decided with words that was for sure.
He gave a slight look at one of the speakers and sighed. He may be dead soon but the man could at least have learned his name.
Toran changed his rifle to full-auto and gave off a few shots at the area where Laylei had been just in case she had decided not to move. Which he doubted, but still. He then shot a few rounds just randomly around, he had many things both human and non human but never something that was completely invisible. He made a move over to one of the walls and leaned a bit up against it. Then he listened after footsteps and hoped that her power did not involve making her unable to be heard too.
So this is how you fight eh? I knew there were more up your sleeve but this is more impressive than I thought! He yelled, hoping she would bite the bait and answer, that would at least give him a better chance to spot her position. Hiding won't beat me though, at some point you will have to show yourself! Toran started to walk slowly to the opposite side of the arena, her starting place. Then fire off a bit random, if he could at least wound her, that would make her bleed, which would give off a small trail.
He held his rifle tight as he walked forward, trying to prepare himself for an ambush he was almost completely sure would come...

Lay chuckled as she walked casually behind the man. She let the invisibility fade slowly as she grabbed ahold of one of the woman who walked by casually. Laylei grinned vindictively as she whistled to get the man's attention as she pushed the struggling woman in-front of her. "Comeon, Darling, shoot me. I'm right here." She said as the civilian shook her head rapidly.
Lay rolled her eyes at the woman's struggling but kept her grip. She made a kiss-kiss face at the man as she waited patiently. "Guns run out of ammo by the way, love. My fists ramming into your face and stomach, don't. Isn't that such a wonderful little tidbit ?" ---
The speakers went off again just like they had a few minutes earlier. The buzzing of static filled the air, but soon it cleared and Saint Claude's voice flowed through the scattered speakers. "Fun fact time! If you kill any of my employees or harm them, I will be forced to terminate your participation! Which means also emotional distress, I'm looking at you Le-Le! Super fun, I know! Ok, byeee!"

Toran quickly turned around when he heard the sound of Laylei's voice, how come he had not heard any footsteps?
Son of a-... He mumbled through his teeth. He had a look in his eyes though that seemed to show he would have put down the civilian together with Laylei if it weren't against the rules or at least risked it.
Toran slowly placed his rifle on single. Then stood still aiming carefully. After what he had counted he would have about three, maybe more, shots left before he needed to change mag.
He then quickly made a leap and a roll, placing him on Laylei's side and gave off three shots well if he could see an opening, he had been right there were no more though, then clicked his mag out. At this close range it would be hard to miss. Chances for the bullets going into her side were well above average. Of course, strange things had a tendency to happen.
Before standing up again Toran quickly put a new mag into his rifle. He slowly moved a bit away from her, still aiming at her whether he had hit or not. Making sure he was out of leap distance, well for a normal human at least.
I expected more from you, than bringing civilians into this? Let her go and I promise I'll make it quick. Toran said with a small grin. He knew that unless he had hit Laylei she would not let go of the poor woman.
